My son loves it! My son is getting so much exercise with this VR headset! If I had known it would combine so much movement with gaming I would have bought a long time ago. He actually works up a sweat playing on it!

Overpriced. This Item is listed 200 dollars above what oculus themselves sell the rift s at. So if you want a Rift S head set head over to their site and buy from them it is cheaper.

I love the quality of this headset, I’ve had no issues so far with the gameplay but I’ve had to constantly adjust the headset when it’s not the exact right line of sight.

Warning for non savvy gaming parents. The minimum laptop standards to run the Oculus Rift are much higher than my son had – so I was left with 2 options: either buy him a $2000 laptop to support this system or return it for the Oculus Quest which does not use a PC connection.
It may be my fault for not understanding everything but this was a REAL disappointment when we spent 5 days trying to use his big Xmas gift and he could not. Now the quest is back-ordered or overpriced.

Don’t get you might not be able to install softwar. Was not able to get the software for this unit to install on my pc. Even though my pc could run this with no issues.

Good headset, software needs work. It’s a good headset but two things stick out to me. The fov seems smaller than the quest, which is disappointing, and the oculus software itself constantly has issues which requires me to unplug the cord from the inside of the headset and replug it in every single time I play (sometimes even after just taking off the headset).

Otherwise it has pretty good resolution and is a pretty decent headset that I will use for a long time. Good purchase, oculus just needs to fix their software.

We’re through the looking glass here people. As someone who had never tried VR before, jumping into this was a life changing experience. And I promise I’m only slightly exaggerating here. These past couple years I felt like I had begun to outgrow games, since nothing had really hooked me for a long while, but this has completely renewed my faith in the industry as a whole. This felt like the jump from Super Mario World to Super Mario 64.

I now know this is the way forward for gaming and I can’t wait to see how far developers push it in the coming years.

Just make sure your IPD is somewhere between 63-67 or you’ll likely run into problems with this particular headset. Oh yeah and go easy with it the first few days. I ended up clocking too many hours on it right away and felt like I was tripping afterwards.

It’s all about tracking, and software! Need a good gaming PC, but if you have that, this is a great VR system. The movement tracking (via cameras in the headset) is much better than buying tower mounted trackers, like with the Vive Pro. This thing also has a ton of proprietary games, via the Oculus store, which is really easy to access and use via the headset. This software library, when paired with a steam account, is really what drew me to oculus over the competition. It hasn’t dissapointed!
